Lovesong
In spring 2023, AIBTC presented the Canadian premiere of the Olivier award nominated West End hit comedy LOVESONG which had previously been presented in London starring Cillian Murphy and Neve Campbell. This play is a touching meditation on the glory of love against the agony of loneliness. Our production enjoyed a sold out run at The Libertine in Toronto. Directed by Jonathan Higgins, starring Liam Marshall, Phil Akkawi, Danielle Soule, and Zoe Glover. Stage Managed by Lauren Aqui and Aaron Dickie.

What Happened Was
AIBTC launched in the spring of 2022 with the original stage adaptation of Tom Noonan’s award winning 1994 indie film WHAT HAPPENED WAS as part of the AIS Chamber Film Stage Series. After its successful limited run at The Libertine it was remounted for the Sellers and Newell gallery’s Jazz and Lit series in 2023 and is set to go on tour in Montreal and Nova Scotia in summer of 2024.
Directed by Jonathan Higgins, Starring Zoe Devereaux-Glover and Phil Akkawi, Production design by Josh Collier, Remount stage managed by Lauren Aqui and Aaron Dickie.

24 Hour Festival
AIBTC is about to produce its second season of the 24 Hour Theatre Festival. After it's highly successful first run this exciting and dynamic two day event challenges actors to push their mental, physical, and creative limits. Several small casts of professional actors meet at 6pm on the first day, meet their teams, and compete in community building activities that unlock their stipulations for creating their shows (genres, characters, lines, etc.). They have over night to create, write, direct, and block a 15-20 minute production. The next day at 5pm the doors open and at 6pm the show begins!
